The short answer is "no". Well sort of.
On our Linux servers, we are very reliant on what is built into the cPanel system. In this case, we use a cPanel function to update and make new Apache builds (where RoR needs to plug in), and the particular function does not support RoR. But all is not lost...
The time has come that ANNO (and the cPanel developers) cannot ignore RoR any longer. I am willing to manually configure RoR on a server (not the same production server your site is on) for you to test. Depending on how things go, we could make it an official offering.
I can have the RoR test installation ready by the end of the week. Would you be interested? |

There seems to be a big buzz in the industry these days regarding Ruby On Rails. I am quite keen getting into the swing of things too, perhaps during the Christmas holidays when things are quiet. Please do post your feedback here for me (and others lurking the forum) to see. |

I was just working on it! Is this a case of great minds thing alike? Or is it fools never differ?
Jurgens, I apologise for the delay is getting this done. It has been a busy few weeks and my brain felt a bit of gear too. I have a test setup ready for you and will email you the details shortly. Your feedback here in the Forum and/or in private via the Helpdesk will be most welcome.
Let get Ruby on track (Rails) ! |

Kewl!
I'll start testing by next week, and post my findings here/let you know by email...
This definitely ups my geek score, but this is exciting!

Hey All!!
Good news!
I've started setting up my test app on the server Stephen made available, and things are looking good. No problems so far...
I'm having problems with my inet connections at the mo, so it's something of a hassle, but it should be sorted in the next few days...
I'll keep you posted, and eventually post a link where you guys can see it...
